Centro de Promoción Electrónica de Productos bajo los Tratados de Libre Comercio de Centro América


The center is designed to introduce Central American countries to the world and promote their image, encourage Free Trade Agreement business opportunities, as well as market Central American fine products online. It is hosted by the Central America Trade Office (CATO), the mission office in charge of Central American trade development affairs in Taiwan.

Provide country information as well as information on economic development, culture, and tourism resources of Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama in order to enhance their image and appeal on the international stage.

Taiwan has signed free trade agreements with Central American countries and has benefited from duty-free treatment. Due to their close proximity to the United States, Central American countries have enjoyed a long and close trade relationship with the North American country. They have also signed the CAFTA (Dominican Republic, Central America and United States Free Trade Agreement) in order to further strengthen the ties between the regions.
